Hand therapy is an integral part of the rehabilitation process. An essential part of therapy for both operative and non-operative cases, it involves educating patients about their injury or condition and providing instruction in appropriate care of the afflicted area of the hand or arm while they are in the process of recovery.

Specifically, therapists who a specially trained in the care of the hands conscientiously design and implement treatment programmes tailored to each patient, always with the ultimate goal being full restoration of function. In some cases, these therapists will construct a variety of splints and braces to accommodate each phase of healing.

The Praxis für Ergotherapie und Handrehabilitation K. Yachou-Espelage & Trees-Manser was founded in 1996. Collaborating closely with Dr. Kirsten Beyermann, the members of the practice will guide patients through evaluation, treatment and discharge process ensuring a rapid recovery and maximum return of function.
